Soon, DB will get competition for its Sylt Shuttle trains between Niebüll und Westerland (Sylt) when RDC Deutschland will start its own car shuttles on the same route. Traction power for these shuttles will be Mak-built DE 2700 diesel locomotives provided by the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn that will act as carrier for RDC. On December 23, a test run was made by NOB with locomotive ER 20-014 (indeed, not a DE 2700 locomotive).
