Today, Beacon Rail / DRS 68005 made its first run in revenue service on Scottish soil. It operated a service from Mossend Yard to Inverness and back. For an image, take a look here: link.

Five of the six remaining Class 68s have reported to be operational. Unit 68008 is currently receiving AAR multiple control equipment to operate in push-pull service with driving trailers. Together with 68009, it will become spare loco for 68010-68015 which will be subleased to Chiltern Railways and evidentally also will get AAR installed.

68009, 68010 and 68011 are currently being shipped towards the UK. Arrival is expected before Thursday.
