On 21 March 2011, TŽV Gredelj delivered four locomotives of the GT26CW type that will enter service in Saudi Arabia. The mentioned locomotives are part of business deal that Gredelj concluded three years ago with the National Railway Equipment Company (NREC) in connection with the overhaul and modernization of diesel-electric locomotives of the GT26 and G26 series. Total value of the four locomotives is 7 million dollars. Practically new locomotives have been constructed using repaired bogies, which have a running cycle similar to a newly built locomotive.
