In April 2018, two new EffiShunter 1000 diesel locomotives built by CZ LOKO could be seen in Italy. The locos, numbered 744 103-3 and 744 104-1, are destined to enter service for Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal (Mercitalia S&T), the company previously known as SerFer. The two are part of an order for five locos with an option for five more.
