Through its subsidiary Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn (MRB), Transdev will operate Chemnitz-Leipzig express passenger services, starting December 2015. The company will use push-pull trainsets, consisting of second-hand coaches and Siemens ER20 diesel locomotives. Most likely, it concerns DE 2000-01, 02 and 03, leased from Ascendos and not the ER20 diesels on lease from MRCE.
The locos in question are currently used by NOB for its passenger service between Hamburg and Westerland (Sylt), but will become obsolete after the introduction of new Class 245 Traxx DE Multi-Engine locomotives of NAH.SH. More about the new passenger services can be read on IRJ: link.
