French freight operator VFLI has purchased two EURO 4000 locomotives from Vossloh. The locomotives in question are E4027 and E4028, which we already know from the Marathon trial runs in 2014.

The locomotives join the six EURO 4000 locomotives leased by VFLI from Beacon Rail Leasing: E4017-E4022. Delivery of the first locomotive is imminent, with E4028 following next week.
