DRS 68015 has arrived in the United Kingdom. On September 24 it could be seen on the M6 highway: link.

With the arrival of 68015, 68001 is the only unit of the first batch that is not yet in the UK (although it has been there for a short period of time while it was in transit to Berlin). At the InnoTrans trade fair, 68001 'Evolution' proved to be a true highlight.

Delivery of the following ten locomotives (68016-68025) is the next priority for Vossloh. After that, the UK Dual / Class 88 locomotives will follow. The delivery of 68016-68025 will most likely continue until early 2015. Because the engines for the locomotives will be completed and delivered by Caterpillar before January 1 2015, there will be no problems when EU 97/68 Stage IIIb emission regulations come into force.

However, the Stage IIIb regulations will not be the end of the line for the UKLIGHT within the Vossloh product portfolio. The locomotive can be fitted with a IIIb compliant engine, which Caterpillar has available. According to Caterpillar, it is possible to fit their new compliant C175-16 into the locomotive design.
