[DE] Back to 2000, when a Class 66 still was an uncommon sight

In the year 2000, a Class 66 was still an uncommon sight in Germany. In 1999, HGK was launching customer for the type in mainland Europe. The image shows HGK 9901 (now HGK DE 62) in the HGK workshops at Brühl-Vochem in August, 2000. Note the British light fittings, which DE 62 still has today, unlike HGK DE 61.
