Today Siemens and Cummins announced their partnership for the construction of Tier 4 compliant passenger diesel locos. The locomotives will be designed for speeds up to 200 km/h and will have the newly developed, 16-cylinder Cummins QSK95 diesel engine on board, delivering a power rating of nearly 3000 kW.
